Bimbo and Barcel among the best companies to work for in Mexico
Bimbo, S.A. and Barcel, S.A., belonging to Grupo Bimbo, respectively obtained the fifth and eighteenth place in the ranking Great Place To Work 2014, awarding the best companies to work for in Mexico. The awards recognized the efforts of these firms to promote policies and practices for improving the quality of life among its collaborators.
For more than 20 years, and based on rigorous research, the ranking has analyzed, evaluated and certified the best companies to work for, conducting worldwide surveys among 10 million employees working in companies highly trusted, due to its corporate culture.
Adapted since 2002 specifically for Mexico and certified by the Mexican Institute of Standardization and Certification, A.C., and by the firm Grant Thornton, the ranking aims to recognize companies that offer their customers and consumers highly competitive products and services, and at the same time develop excellent working environments for their employees.
Raúl Argüelles, Grupo Bimbo’s Chief Human Relations Officer, highlighted the value of the recognition awarded to two Mexican companies that have grown constantly for over 65 years, working with a focus on building a better country. Since its founding, Grupo Bimbo has been striving to be a highly productive and deeply humane company, recognizing the value of the person. The firm’s golden rule establishes that each person has to be treated with justice, respect, trust and affection.
