For the second consecutive year, Grupo Bimbo, is positioned as the only Mexican company and one of the few in the food industry, to be part of the World ́s Most Ethical Companies 2018, which acknowledges companies who globally standout for promoting ethical corporate practices and standards.
Made by The Ethisphere Institute, the 2018 World ́s Most Ethical Companies, is integrated by 135 companies with presence in 24 countries and operations in 57 industrial divisions, which should qualify in a methodology called Ethics Quotient, which weighs the score of the companies evaluated in five categories: ethics and compliance program, with a weight of 35%; corporate citizenship and responsibility, with 20%; culture of ethics, with 20%; governance, with 15%; and leadership, innovation and reputation, with 10%.
"Integrity should not only be understood as compliance with the law, rules and procedures; it goes beyond that, it is part of the culture. Ethics sustains the most important asset for any market: trust", Daniel
Servitje, Chairman and CEO of Grupo Bimbo said.
It is worth highlighting the Ethisphere Institute recognizes those companies who influence and drive positive change with a global impact in the business community.
“Over the last 12 years, we have repeatedly seen that those companies who focus on transparency and authenticity are rewarded with the trust of their employees, their customers and their investors. While negative headlines might grab attention, the companies that support the rule of law and operate with decency and fairplay around the globe will always succeed in the long term”, Timothy Erblich, CEO of The Ethisphere Institute stated.
Grupo Bimbo reassures its commitment to ethics and integrity and continues to work on its purpose for building a sustainable, highly productive and deeply humane company.
