In 2006, Grupo Bimbo made its entry into the Chinese market through an acquisition of the Spanish bakery Panrico SAU’s Beijing operations. 

A year later, Bimbo-branded products such as sandwich loaves and even tortillas were available.

In 2018 GB acquired the Mankattan Group, one of the biggest players in China’s baked goods industry. In its twenty years of market experience, it has produced everything from packaged breads to snack-cakes, rolls and yudane, a Nipponese-style sandwich slice.
