Your resume is your introduction letter. Before sending it to any company, read these tips from recruitment experts that we put together so you can create yours in an attractive and impeccable way.
According to some sources, recruiters only look at the resume for at least 10 seconds, so pay attention to this advice and take advantage of it.
Name, email and contact phone numbers. Do not include your complete address, marital status, CURP (national ID number), date of birth or age.
Focus on describing how you are and what you’re good at. You can create an introduction phrase with your best trait and how long you’ve been doing it. The resume must ideally be one page long, two at the most.
Use examples to prove your strengths, achievements and notable experiences.
Only mention the last three jobs or the last 10 years of work experience.
Focus on your latest studies and additional postgrad studies; only certifications and courses relevant to the position.
Prepare your resume according to each job opening that you want to apply to.
This is part of the first impression. Avoid these mistakes that may disqualify you.
Exaggerating an achievement. Talking about basic computer skills. Lying about your skills. Irrelevant information.
Before sending your resume, for example, double check that all your information is correct. And most importantly, be sure about the final result.
If you include a photo, make sure it’s recent.
