he Technology and Maintenance Council (TMC), which over 50 years reunites technicians, as well as technology maintenance experts in the industry of road transportation, recognized Grupo Bimbo’s Transportation Team with 6 awards during the first National Contest of Transportation Technicians “Super Technician”.
Celebrated last October 29th and based on the prestigious “SuperTech” of the United States, this contest aims to recognize the best heavy duty maintenance technicians in the country, certifying the best practices. The contestants were evaluated in 6 workstations, both theoretical and practical, according to their abilities and technical capacities based on the maintenance “Recommended Practices” from the TMC.
The competition included the participation of 57 technicians from companies such as Grupo Bimbo, Estafeta, Transportes Pitic, Transportes HESA, Alpura and FEMSA. In its first edition, it recognized the first places for each workstation, as well as the technicians with the better overall performance.
Grupo Bimbo stand out for the 6 out of 9 awards received, in which there were Fernando Cruz Castillo, from Bimbo Mexico and Juan José Beltrán Zapata, from Marinela, both winners of the First and Third place respectively in the better overall performance. Additionally, Hector Raul Varela Duran from Bimbo Mexicali was recognized in the Suspension and Axis Station, as well as Manuel Hernandez Bernal from Bimbo Toluca in the Hook System Station; Victor Joaquin Garcia Resendiz from Bimbo México in the Engine Station and Adrian Balderas Hernandez from Bimbo Mexico in the Tire Station.
The 6 awards won by Grupo Bimbo’s technicians are a public recognition to the Transportation Team of the baking company, which permanently implements best practices in areas such as maintenance, accident prevention and road safety that day by day make possible the distribution of their products quickly and efficiently.
