Bimbo Argentina, a subsidiary company of Grupo Bimbo the largest baking company in the world announced today the construction of what will be its sixth production facility in the South American country.
While stating the details of the 30 million US dollars investment, Mr. Sebastián Reynoso, Bimbo Argentina General Manager, said the new plant will be located in the Province of Córdoba and will start operating next year. Once it is fully operational additional to the five plants already operating in said country it will create 450 direct jobs and an equal number of indirect ones.
This will be the first plant of Bimbo Argentina to be located outside the Buenos Aires Province. Its construction in the Malvinas Argentinas in the Province of Córdoba will start 60 days after the announcement is made. Mr. Reynoso also said that the plant will have 6 production lines and will make baked products, buns and sweet snacks among others.
“The new facilities will allow us to increase our production capacity, develop and innovate new products and brands and, at the same time, reach each of our Argentinean customers faster and more easily”, said the Director.
For his part, the Governor of Córdoba, José Manuel de la Sota, who accompanied the Bimbo Argentina General Manager during the announcement, emphasized that the arrival or the Company will benefit the community, since “Bimbo Argentina will foster [the community’s] productive growth through the creation of jobs.”
