Grupo Bimbo, the largest bakery in the world, announces the seventh edition of its Bimbo Global Race. This event, that is aligned to the company's sustainability strategy, seeks to promote active and healthy lifestyles among its participants and support those in need. For each registration, the company donates 20 slices of bread to local food banks from all the countries where we operate. Bimbo Global Race will have scope in its virtual format in more than 100 countries from September 19 to 25, 2022. For the first time in two years, the on-site race will be in 15 cities in ten countries: Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Ecuador, Spain, United States, India, Mexico, Portugal and Spain on September 25, 2022.
"At Grupo Bimbo, we exist to Nourish a Better World, and the Bimbo Global Race is a platform that allows us to improve the lives of those in the communities where we operate. But, above all, it offers runners who sign-up the opportunity to give back to those who need it most. We want to continue building the Bimbo Global Race community, adding more and more people. This year we have a very ambitious goal: we aim to donate more than 6 million slices of bread worldwide. That's why the Bimbo Global Race motto is: You Run, We Donate," says Alberto Levy, Global VP of Marketing for Grupo Bimbo.
The participant in face-to-face race with the best absolute time in the 10 km modality per country in each branch, men's and women's, will be awarded a trip together with a companion to participate in the Bimbo Global Race next year in Los Angeles, California, a city that in this 2022 edition, is the headquarters where the organizing committee was inspired to design the shirt.
Registration for the Bimbo Global Race is now open, and more details are available at www.bimboglobalrace.com and in the Bimbo Global Race mobile app available on iOS and Android devices.
