The Yucatan Barcel plant earns the ISO 9001:2000 certification
Barcel S. A. de C. V., Grupo Bimbo subsidiary, received the ISO 9001:2000 certification in record time, only 6 months after the inauguration of its plant located in Mérida, Yucatán.
Mr. Patricio Patrón Laviada, Governor of the State of Yucatan, presented the certificate at the plant facilities in the presence of several State, Municipal, and Union authorities, together with Grupo Bimbo Executives.
The Merida Barcel S.A. de C.V. plant, thanks to this achievement, is now one more of the Grupo Bimbo plants that have the ISO 9001:2000 certification, and part of the select group of companies in the State that have earned this acknowledgement.
The Barcel Operations Director, Mr. Gerardo Achotegui Roquet, said: ”thanks to the commitment and dedication of all our associates, we have earned this valuable certificate that fills us with pride and confirms that, Barcel Yucatan is at the forefront of our industry, striving for continuous improvement and reaffirming its commitment to offer our consumers only the highest quality products”.
