Grupo Bimbo continues to accelerate its growth in the United States through its subsidiary Bimbo Bakeries USA (BBU) and announces the signing of an agreement to acquire a plant in Cicero, Illinois from ARYZTA.

Grupo Bimbo continues to accelerate its growth in the United States through its subsidiary Bimbo Bakeries USA (BBU) and announces the signing of an agreement to acquire a plant in Cicero, Illinois from ARYZTA.

This facility has four production lines with a capacity of more than 45 thousands of tons per year and a workforce of more than 500associates.

This new strategically located plant will help Bimbo Bakeries USA improve its productivity and profitability, optimize its distribution costs and boost ts sweet baked goods category,” , said Diego Gaxiola, CFO of Grupo Bimbo.

Through actions like this, Grupo Bimbo continues to advance towards its 2020 vision of transforming the baking industry and expanding its global leadership to better serve more consumers.
