Grupo Bimbo Reports 2018’s First Quarter Results

We would like to share our results in performance we had during the first three months of 2018, emphasising that the company reached an almost 30% net income rise, an adjusted EBITDA increase of 12.2%.

We would like to share our results in performance we had during the first three months of 2018, emphasising that the company reached an almost 30% net income rise, an adjusted EBITDA increase of 12.2% with a margin expansion of 90 basis points and an estimated 2% net sales growth, compared to the same period of the last year, making a total of 67,154 million pesos. Additionaly, the total debt/adjusted EBITDA ratio ended up in 3.2 times, in contrast with last year’s end of 3.5.

In Mexico, net sales increased 10.8%, and in EAA region we recorded a 43.7% growth as a result of the acquisitions in the zone.

Daniel Servitje, Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Director of Grupo Bimbo said "We entered 2018 well positioned to deliver growth and profitability, coming off a transformational year in 2017. This was already evidenced in our performance this quarter, with strong profitability performance".
