25th Anniversary Of The Bimbo Plant In Toluca
On Saturday, the 12th of January, Grupo Bimbo associates gathered in the City of Toluca to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Bimbo plant located at Toluca.
The event was honored with the presence of Daniel Servitje, General Director of Grupo Bimbo who stated: “I congratulate all of you who work here at Bimbo Toluca and most particularly, the wives and husbands of those who form part of the company, because we know that working here requires special dedication and that you, with your constant support and encouragement, fully endorse our love and good will towards the company, making us even more responsible in our tasks”.
Also, during this event, there was the presence of the Group’s founding partners, Don Lorenzo and Don Roberto Servitje, who were in charge of awarding recognition to each one of the founders of the Toluca Bimbo plant.
The Bimbo Toluca plant, is located within the Toluca, State of Mexico, industrial corridor; it was built in 1981 and began operations in December of 1982, and at that moment it had 5 manufacture lines and 120 people working at the plant.
In keeping with what has happened at each new Group company, little by little, the plant continued to grow and has generated new job sources and opportunities, to the extent that today there are more than 600 associates, in addition to generating more than 4,000 indirect employments through the agencies that are supplied by the plant.
