After more than four months of intense preparation and fierce competition, Futbolito Bimbo 2018’s Grand Final took place in the Azteca Stadium, where, both men and women tournament’s champions rose.
The women’s final began at 11 o’clock, with the match between Baja California’s El Arca School and Jalisco’s Subiré School teams with the former winning; the men’s game was between Aguascalientes’ Escuela Primaria del Futbol and Baja California’s Patria Institute which was won by the latter.
It’s important to point out that one of the tournament’s most important initiatives is Positive Reinforcement Green Card, instrument used by referees during all Futbolito Bimbo’s Matches to acknowledge positive behavior, on and off the field, from players, staff as well as player’s relatives and friends. A Green Card was given every time someone conducted positively and, on this tournament, more than 6,500 were granted.
After the matches, the award ceremony was in charge of Armando Cantú Brito, Bimbo’s Director of Personnel, who delivered medals, trophies and accolades:
• Leading Scorer: El Arca’s Grecia López and Patria’s Cristian Madueña.
• Best Goal Keeper: Jalisco’s Camila Vázquez and Aguascalientes’ David Corona.
• More Positive Reinforcement Green Cards: Ericka Vania and Angel Nayr.
The champion teams will play a friendly match against the USA’s B-Active Bimbo tournament winners in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and travel to Orlando, Florida to enjoy the theme parks and guided tours, afterwards.
